Choosing a rail cabin for a family journey
Start with how your companions rest: bed layout, bathroom access and upper or lower berths.

Start with who will share. Twins, doubles, triples and four-berth cabins suit different groups. A cabin’s capacity does not mean that its fare includes every occupant. Ask separately about children, extra beds and exclusive use.
Consider the night-time routine. Private bathrooms and shared carriage bathrooms are different arrangements, identified in each cabin summary. Tell your adviser about upper-berth access, night-time bathroom needs and boarding assistance for older guests or anyone with limited mobility.
Then match the cabin to your itinerary. Packages on the same train can differ in cabins, land hotels and visits. Save the summary for the package you are considering, discuss it with your family, and ask your adviser to confirm dates and the total fare.
